Once New Adjunct Faculty has Been Identified:
Criminal background checks will be required for all new adjunct faculty, as well as those rehired after a break in service of 12 months or greater. To view the full Background Investigations policy, please click here.
Submit all new background check requests here.
- You will be informed within 3 to 5 business days whether, based on the results of the background investigation,
- an offer of employment can be made and/or finalized and the candidate hired.
- if the hired candidate may continue employment with the university or
- the hired candidate will need to be terminated from the university. HR will assist the department in this process.
Any written or verbal offer must be made “contingent upon the successful completion of a background check” per University policy. The hiring department will work with the appropriate Employment Services Representative to confirm which kinds of background checks are required for this particular position.
