Human Resource Services has established HR Business Partners and “dedicated service” teams to provide consultative services and to support recruiting, hiring, compensation, and other HR-related needs for the campus. Through these team assignments we have the opportunity to learn more about each college or business unit’s unique needs and challenges; resulting in our ability to deliver more focused and responsive customer service.

Each college and VP area has a dedicated team of individuals to serve its needs in the following areas:
HR Business Partners
New service model providing primary point-of-contact for campus departments. Provide high-quality consulting and support on all HR matters, including employee relations, organizational change, performance management, and HR-related policies and procedures.
Assistance with any hiring-related activities, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring for new and existing positions. Also provides assistance with reclassification, promotions and transfers of existing staff.
Evaluation of job duties for appropriate classification, review of salary and market benchmarks, equity increases, and job reclassifications. Assists with position management and compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Payroll administration, processing of employment transactions, and maintenance of employee records in our HR and Payroll systems.
HR Benefits Team
Notifications, enrollment and maintenance of employee benefit information, including health coverage, life insurance, leave and retirement, in addition to optional benefits such as flexible spending and tuition fee waivers.
Assistance with inquiries and administration of benefits related to Family and Medical Leave, absences due to illness, injury, birth, adoption, or family situations, and leaves of absence.
Supports campus departments for all HR data and reporting needs, and maintains security for access to HR forms and systems.
Learning & Organizational Development
Promotes and supports employee and organizational growth, and development by providing workplace learning programs, resources and services.
