Security

D_1507_011_0411-1350x230Boise State University Campus Security and Police Services operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Department is staffed with trained professional security and police officers.  It is headed by the Executive Director of the University Security Department, who is responsible for overseeing Boise State University’s security program.

Visitors Guide

The photo-rich publication introduces visitors to academic programs, university services, campus facilities, and arts and entertainment venues. Also included are a campus map, a handy contact list for administrative units and information about the city.


Focus Magazine

FOCUS on Boise State University magazine is available online at focus.boisestate.edu, offering rich digital content and easy-to-share stories via social media.

FOCUS is created by the Office of Communications and Marketing and distributed to more than 90,000 alumni and friends in Boise and across the nation. Print copies are available by contacting the Office of Communications and Marketing at 426-1577.


Brand Standards

The Boise State Brand Standards have been developed to enable all university departments, centers, programs and university-sanctioned organizations to consistently represent Boise State in all formal and informal communications, web, advertising and marketing, and other promotional materials.

Information found at brandstandards.boisestate.edu includes: Boise State brand; logo usage guidelines; official fonts, colors and logos; print guidelines; digital guidelines; a logo download library and more.


Writing Style Guide

Content is as important to marketing and promotional materials as is the graphic presentation. Correct grammar, use of abbreviations and spelling is essential in the presentation of the university. The Boise State University Writing Style Guide is a useful tool.


Meeting Rooms

Boise State Conference Services offers many locations throughout campus for events and meeting rooms.

The Student Union Building (SUB) offers multiple rooms in a variety of sizes. Typically, recognized Student Organizations and University departments do not pay for meeting rooms to conduct regular student group or departmental meetings or business.

Additionally, the Special Events Center and Stueckle Sky Center include many spaces for events and meetings.


Bookstore

The Boise State Bookstore offers traditional campus bookstore items for purchase, such as textbooks, general books, school supplies, gifts and novelty items. The Boise State Bookstore is housed in the Student Union Building and shares space with the Boise State Bronco Shop and Bronco Tec.

The Bronco Shop is one of six across the Southern Idaho region. The Bronco Shop offers Boise State clothing and gear for men, women and youth, as well as novelty and fan items.

Bronco Tec offers hardware and software for purchase, as well as supplies and accessories. Bronco Tec is an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

About: Special Collections and Archives gathered the information for each timeline primarily based on Eugene Chaffee’s Boise College: An Idea Grows (1970), Glen Barrett’s Boise State University: Searching for Excellence, 1932-1984 (1984), and Pat Ourada’s The Broncos: A History of Boise State University Athletics, 1932-1994 (1994). The Boise State campus offers a number of postal services, including Bronco Express, an on-campus post office and shipping center, and through Central Receiving.
