Note: Boise State University's current harassment prevention training is not compatable with screen reader software or other adaptive technology devices. If you need accomodations to complete the harassment prevention training, call Human Resource Services at 208-426-1616.
New Employees
All newly hired employees are required to take harassment-prevention training.
Instruction sheets for completing the training are provided to new employees
during their benefits orientation. Employees have two weeks from the
time of their orientation to complete the mandatory training. A reminder
e-mail will be sent to the employee if they do not complete the training
within two weeks. If the employee does not complete the training within
two weeks after the reminder is sent, HRS will then ask the employee's
supervisor for assistance in follow-up.
Human Resource Services encourages
all managers and supervisors to review and become familiar with the
harassment-prevention training programand also reminds supervisors
that this is a paid time activity. No employee should be expected to
complete the training on their own time.
Existing Employees:
Existing BSU employees, including temporary, benefit-eligible employees and adjunct faculty, are required to complete the training. There are two training modules, one for employees and one for managers. Any employee who supervises one or more employees, including those who supervise students and faculty should take the training for managers. Staff should allocate approximately 45 minutes of quiet, uninterrupted time to complete the training. Departments will complete the training in phases over the next year.
If you have specific questions regarding the harassment-prevention training or would like to request the training on a CD, please contact Angie Zirschky in Employee Learning and Development at angiezirschky@boisestate.edu or by calling 208-426-2936. The training is also available on a designated computer at the Albertsons Library and can be taken anytime during the Library's normal business hours.
