Academic Technologies (SMITC) Room 209



Room 209 in the Simplot/Micron building is available for Boise State University faculty and staff for learning sessions that require individual computer stations for participants. Room 209 has an instructor station computer, along with overhead projection, plus 20 individual computer stations. Each computer has all of the standard University software as well as web access and CD-Rom capability. In addition, there is also VHS video and DVD capability.


Room 209 is available free of charge to the campus community (unless there is a Set-Up Fee).


Room 209 is also available to organizations outside the University. External users incur a user fee of $75 for a half day or $125 for a full day, plus any required Set-Up Fee.


A Set-Up Fee is charged only if your session requires loading and unloading of non-standard software or programs. The Set-Up Fee is $35 per hour and depends upon the length of time required to load the required software and then to restore the classroom computers to their original configuration.

Map locating the Simplot/Micron Building and the Parking Garage. The Simplot/Micron building is located next to the Business building, just north of the Administration building.


External visitors should park in the Parking Garage to the west of Simplot/Micron. Follow the parking pre-payment directions posted in the Garage.


Beverages and snacks are permitted in Room 209. If your session requires refreshments or snacks, check out the menu options at the Student Union. Place your catering order by calling 208 426-3890 and speaking with an Aramark representative.
