Senior Developer Analyst
Enterprise Application Systems (EAS)
Office of Information Technology (OIT)
The Senior Developer Analyst position provides senior-level technical support and expertise for enterprise applications. The duties include providing production support (including after normal working hours), developing software, and maintaining and enhancing various enterprise applications. The Senior Developer/Analyst coordinates small to medium sized projects, mentors lesser-experienced colleagues in software development methods and techniques, and provides coverage for their manager by performing duties of the manager in a backup capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise and non enterprise applications and interfaces for one or more functional areas
- Provide on-going production support for one or more enterprise applications
- Provide mentoring, software development knowledge and expertise, and technical leadership for the team
- Maintain proficiency in enterprise applications and development tools, including PeopleSoft
- Find opportunities to improve processes and customer service
- Promote teamwork within the development team, EAS, and OIT and act professionally
- Provide appropriate reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3 or more years preferred in software development/programming with an enterprise application or ERP system or 5 years similar experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- 2 or more years working with PeopleSoft ERP
- Experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
- Advanced knowledge of most of the following software, languages, and tools, or similar products:
- PeopleSoft Application Engine
- PeopleSoft Integration Tools
- PeopleSoft SQR
- PeopleSoft Data Mover
- Oracle PL/SQL
- COBOL
- Crystal Reports
- Unix or a variation (including Telnet, FTP, etc.)
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- MS Access
- Demonstrated proficiency in an object oriented programming language such as Java
- Experience in a Higher Education or Government Organizations and Operations
- Experience in large development/IT projects such as ERP Upgrades or Implementations
- Experience in leading small to mid-sized project teams
- Experience in defining business requirements for technical applications
- Experience with and working knowledge of Oracle relational database management system
- Experience with PeopleSoft development tools (PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer)
- Technical writing, document preparation, editing, report preparation, and organizational skills
Salary Range: $59,000 - $64,000
