Developer Analyst
Enterprise Application Systems (EAS)
Office of Information Technology (OIT)
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance the University's applications including PeopleSoft products and related application systems. Analyze, design, code, and document new functionality, enhancements, interfaces, and reports to meet functional and performance programming standards, procedures, files, enhancements, and records. Analyze functional business requirements and recommend technical solutions. Apply and test new releases of, and fixes for, PeopleSoft software. The person holding this position will provide technical support for assigned enterprise applications and their interfaces to other applications including: production and development support, development, maintenance and enhancements.
Required:
- Knowledge of, or experience with relational database management systems, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Knowledge of, or experience with SQL.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft development tools or another programming language such as COBOL, Visual Basic, JAVA or C++.
- Technical writing, document preparation, editing, report preparation, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with technical subjects and tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- At least one year of experience in analysis and programming.
- Demonstrated proficiency in an object oriented programming language.
- Understanding of, or experience in Higher Education Organizations and Operations.
- Experience with an ERP type software as a developer.
Salary Range: $42,000 to $46,405
