Associate or Full Professor/
Director Master of Community and Regional Planning
Department of Public Policy and Administration
The Department of Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University (BSU) seeks a Director for its new Master of Community and Regional Planning program. The position for the new graduate degree program may begin Fall 2009.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching, with a load appropriate to administrative responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will include teaching core areas of the curriculum and, in addition, the successful candidate will have expertise in one of the following areas: economic development, land use and transportation, or housing, social and community development
- Manage diverse groups of faculty and students, develop curriculum as the program grows, recruit and advise students and lead the program in the accreditation process
- Eligible for appointment as a full or associate professor (depending upon qualification)
At a minimum, you should have:
- Doctorate degree in planning
- At least three years of administrative experience at the college level
- Hold a recognized standing in the field.
The successful candidate should bring a distinguished research record, vision, and leadership requisite to instituting a new program.
