Boise State University (BSU), a metropolitan research university and the largest in Idaho with over 19,000 students, seeks a leader to guide the College of Health Sciences (CHS) to new levels of academic excellence. Ranked this year by US News & World Report as one of the “top up-and-coming” universities in the West, BSU offers over 150 academic programs including 76 Masters, and four doctoral. Extramural funding has increased 37% in the last two years.
The CHS has 65 faculty, 31 staff, and nearly 2300 students served by four departments and a Center for Health Policy. Construction of major new facilities will house the Department of Nursing. Qualifications Required: Evidence of excellence in higher
education administration; record and understanding of research and creative
activities; professional achievement warranting tenure and full professor appointment;
demonstrated ability in development and fund raising and effective collaborating
with internal and external constituencies; and earned doctorate appropriate
to the disciplines in the College.
Effective Date and Compensation: Preferred July 1, 2010.
