Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Leadership (Tenure Track)

Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Leadership, to become a part of our team to continue our quest toward becoming a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The Assistant/Associate Professor will be a part of a creative faculty dedicated to preparing educational leaders who have the capability and commitment to meet the challenges confronting contemporary public schools. We are seeking a candidate who desires to be part of an innovative, nontraditional leadership preparation program. Such a candidate would promote school, district, and community partnerships; supervise aspiring educational leaders; model scholarship and professional service; and engage in related external fundraising.
At a minimum you should have:
1) Commitment to serving the needs of all children and supporting fellow educators
2) Earned doctorate in educational leadership or closely related field
3) PK-12 leadership experience and/or school improvement experience
4) Evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with rank
5) Evidence of teaching excellence
6) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, school, district,
and community leadership.
The preferred candidate will have:
1) Experience in nontraditional educational leadership programs
2) Experience teaching and/or expertise in school law and school finance
3) Experience guiding graduate student research
4) Current educational leadership certification
5) Exemplary school and/or district leadership experience
6) Demonstrated ability in leading change.
