Assistant Professor
Mathematics
As part of its quest to become a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction, Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics, starting in August 2010. Applications are welcome from candidates in the general area of Set Theory; workers in closely related areas may be considered. Preference may be given to candidates whose interests are compatible with members of the Set Theory group at Boise State.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work with faculty in the Mathematics Department, and also collaborate with other departments.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
At a minimum you should have:
- An earned PhD in Mathematics by the starting date.
- Strong evidence of both research potential and teaching ability.
The preferred candidate will:
- Have interests compatible with members of the Set Theory group at Boise State.
- Have strengths in other fields of Pure Mathematics, such as Algebra, Analysis, Finite Combinatorics, or Topology.
- Be an early career mathematician.
