Position Summary

Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Games Center Manager & Program Coordinator, to join us in our quest toward becoming a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The Games Center Manager/Student Union Program Coordinator will manage the daily operations of the Games Center:  administer, coordinate, and create new student, departmental, and community based programs. This position will provide program management and assessment, financial administration, and supervision for 12 part-time student staff.

 You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Develop, manage, and implement a variety of Student Union and Games Center programs, marketing initiatives, and activities; collaborate with Student Organizations, Student Involvement and Leadership Center, University Housing, and other related departments to develop, plan, and promote programs and special events.
  • Manage and coordinate Student Union Sustainability initiatives and Internships; Roof Top Garden and Bee Farm, Sustainability Center, and Earth Week Programming.
  • Organize and manage the Annual Holiday Help program.
  • Provide effective assessment of programs to include, attendance, financial performance, learning outcomes, outreach, and collaboration.
  • Select, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff in Games Center.
  • Develop and oversee the Games Center budget.
  • Develop and implement training and leadership programs for Student Union student employees.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent – General Field
  • Two years’ experience in similar type of work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Prefer experience working at an institution of higher education.
  • Prefer experience supervising a student staff.
  • Prefer experience creating, promoting, and marketing special events

Salary and benefits: $39,200 per year, plus an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance, retirement plan, reduced tuition benefits, vacation and sick leave annually, plus paid holidays, as well as other benefits.
